Last night’s meeting of the Grand Rapids chapter of the International Thomas Merton Society was amazing! Four new attendees. A robust discussion. People even stayed afterwards for a half hour talking to one another. No one wanted to leave.
Group member (Bob Hudson) has a book about Thomas Merton coming out early next year published by Eerdmans. We’ll update everyone with more information soon.
Another group member (Fr. Patrick) will be giving a series of talks about Thomas Merton at the Dominican Center at Marywood in Grand Rapids on Tuesday, May 9…Tuesday, May 16…and Tuesday, May 23 from 6:30-8:00 p.m. Mark your calendars.
