The last meeting in 2017 of the Grand Rapids chapter of the International Thomas Merton Society will be Wednesday, November 8th, at 7pm, at Baker Book House in Grand Rapids, Michigan.
It’s our tradition to take a break from meeting in December to give everyone time to focus on Christmas with all of its unique hustle and bustle.
So, after our meeting in November, we’ll reconvene on January 10th, 2018.
In our November meeting, we’ll discuss the last chapters of Thomas Merton’s book Contemplative Prayer. If you need a copy, Baker Book House may still have one or two. This book has provided us with many months of wonderful discussion.
The book the group chose for our January meeting is Love and Living. Copies will be available at Baker Book House.
We imagine we’ll discuss Love and Living for a couple of months. There’s a lot here!
