Wednesday, November 13th, is the last meeting of the Grand Rapids chapter of the International Thomas Merton Society for 2019.
So you don’t want to miss it!
We will discuss the first four chapters of Thomas Merton’s book No Man Is An Island:
Author’s Note
Prologue – No Man Is An Island
1. Love Can Be Kept Only by Being Given Away
2. Sentences on Hope
3. Conscience, Freedom, and Prayer
No Man Is An Island is available at Baker Book House, which is located near the corner of East Paris and 28th Street in Grand Rapids, Michigan.
Our meetings begin at 7pm.
Oh, by the way, we take December off each year to give people more time to be with their families, to prepare for the holidays, run errands, battle the elements – all of the stuff for which the phrase “hustle and bustle” was coined.
We look forward to seeing you there!
